Greg Pyle, DDS

Dr. Pyle

Meet Dr. Pyle

When I graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1989, I had no idea what my career path would be. At that time, I viewed my career as one of simply getting people out of tooth pain, as well as being a “preventive” doctor to help avoid dental problems. After doing basic dentistry for a few years, I realized that dentistry held so much more for me than simply “drilling and filling.”

I’m a continuing education junkie, so my career really started to take off when I took my first occlusion course a few years after opening my practice. This journey has led me to a practice that not only treats routine dentistry as most patients know it, but also covers areas of headache therapy, sleep apnea treatment, full-mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, and so much more.

I honestly look forward to every single day I come to the office, knowing that our team has so much to offer our patients. With so many technology changes in dentistry, I can’t wait for the next 20 years of my career!

As more and more studies show greater links between headaches and the musculature of the head and neck, as well as the dentition, I knew this was an area where I could really make a difference in my patients’ lives. While we have treated headaches for several years now, no system seems to work quite like TruDenta®. It is much more predictable than modes we’ve used in the past, and patients love it!

I am constantly looking for new and improved ways to deliver headache and migraine pain relief to my patients. I have taken several courses through BioResearch, being trained to utilize equipment such as the Joint Vibration Analysis/Jaw Tracker, T-Scan, EMG, and TENS unit. I have also completed several hours of continuing education in the areas of cosmetic dentistry and sleep apnea treatment.

Outside the office

My wife, Jodie, and I have lived in the Muncie area since we were married in 1991. We have three beautiful children — Megan, Maddie, and Joel — and we recently added Abe, a Springer spaniel, to our active family!

I really enjoy music, so when I’m not in the office, you might find me at a concert, or possibly even at a venue in which I play my guitar! My family and I are very active in our church at Selma Christ United Methodist. After that, we’re usually enjoying one of our kids’ activities.
